Estelle L. Wheat, 93, of Bowling Green, died Monday, May 9, 2016 in Bowling Green. The Grassland, KY (Edmonson County) native was a daughter of the late Duncan and Nannie Mae Meredith Lindsey and was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie R. Wheat.

Mrs. Wheat was a past chairman of the English Department at Bowling Green High School and member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lillian Hatcher (Wayne) of Morgantown; one granddaughter, Sarah Isac (Brad) of Grove City, Ohio; four great grandchildren, Luke, Nicholas, William and Josh Isac; one sister, Francis Moore; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am Friday, May 13, 2016 with visitation an hour prior to the service at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the funeral home.
