Ernie H. Embry

Ernie H. Embry, 82 of Morgantown, KY passed away on March 17, 2021, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. He was born on Thursday, August 25, 1938 in Morgantown, Kentucky to the union of the late Audra and Eva Burden Embry. Ernie married his bride Novis Keown , on June 2, 1962. The couple have two children Kendall Embry and Kim Grubb. He worked for Hanson Construction Company and retired from Vanmeter Construction Company where he built bridges throughout the tri-state area. Ernie was a dedicated deacon and longstanding member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and prided himself in one of the most beautiful and fruitful gardens in Butler County. His greatest joy was his family and he enjoyed anything or anywhere they were. Ernie was a loyal Butler County Bear fan and you could often find him in the stands cheering on his grandkids. His family and community will remember him for his gentle spirit and infectious smile. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his father and mother in law Volley and Ruby Keown and two brothers Wendell and Cordell Embry.

Ernie H. Embry is survived by his wife Novis Embry; two children Kendall Embry (Deanna) and Kim Grubb (Pat); one sister Virginia Fields (David) all of Morgantown, KY; 7 grandchildren Kaitlin Harrison (Marcus), Paige Salmons (Eric), Payton Flener (Elijah), Mikayla Fife (Caleb), Brennan Grubb, Connor Brown and Keagen Grubb; six great grandchildren Georgia, Jack and John Harrison and Bo, Lottie and Ruthie Salmons and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 2:00pm with Bro. Greg Fields and Bro. Brian Jones officiating. Burial will be held in the Aberdeen Church Cemetery where the grandsons will serve as pallbearers Brennan, Keagen, Elijah, Marcus, Eric and Connor. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 10:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church.
