Eric Osbon Berry

Eric Osbon Berry of Owensboro, Ky., passed away at the Heartford House in Owensboro, on the 8th day of July, 2024 at the age of 67.  He was born at Ramey Air Force Base in Puerto Rico on November 5, 1956, to the late Master Sergeant Eugene E. Berry, Sr., and Gailya Porter Berry who survives. Other survivors include two sons: Robert Eric Berry of Owensboro; William Andrew Berry of Lexington; and daughter, Norah Katherine Wiser (Stuart) of Lawrenceburg, Ky.  There are six grandchildren, one granddaughter and five grandsons: Norah Grace Wiser, Jack Anthony Wiser, Samuel Bradley Wiser, Joseph Alexander Berry, Braden Menche, William Michael Berry; niece, Cristin Berry Whitaker (Robert) and nephew, John Porter Berry; great-niece, Lucy Jaine Whitaker and great-nephew, Mark Presley Whitaker.  His companion, Darlene Pinkston.  The mother of his children, Norah Davis of Lawrenceburg. Special childhood friends, Stephen & Randall Hamilton.

He has two brothers:  Eugene E. Berry, Jr., (Jeffrey Campbell) of Washington, D.C., and Dr. Ronald Allen Berry (Elaine Moody Berry) of Owensboro, Ky., and one sister, Deborah J. Berry of Moultrie, Georgia. Special aunt & uncle, Christine Porter Coleman & Denzil Coleman, Morgantown. Host of cousins.

Before retirement, Eric spent 20 years as an automobile body technician in the Owensboro area. He loved Butler County.  He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt.  His favorite fishing hole was Clover Creek in Daviess County. 

He liked to play the guitar and occasionally did a little “pickin and grinnin”.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 13 - 2:00 p.m. at the Porter Cemetery – 1900 Dimple Road, Morgantown, Ky., in the Sugar Grove Community.
