Erdest C. Evans, 86, of Morgantown left this world on Monday, August 15, 2016 on his farm where he was raised and loved so much.  He was born in Butler Co. on April 2, 1930 to the late Closter and Ollie Kessinger Evans. Husband of the late Bessie Moore Evans. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, retired from Delta Faucet in Morgantown. Erdest loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Carolyn Renee Evans, brother Troy Evans and sister Marietta Blacklock. 

He is survived by three daughters, Elaine Phelps of Morgantown, Karen Evans (Anthony) of Morgantown; Sherri Beth Mudd (Marion) of Caneyville, Ky; 8 grandchildren, Shelia Neal (Hal), Billy Phelps (Beverly), Jarrod Evans (Lindsey), Joshua Phelps (Destany), Lora Phelps (David) all of Morgantown, Sara Young (Jason) of Leitchfield, Jordan Evans (Leah) of Morgantown, Patrick Mudd (Maddie) of Clarkson, Ky.; 7 Great-Grandchildren, Issac & Jason Phelps, Graceyn & Asher Evans, Emma Snell, Victor & Austin Neal; one brother, Leroy Evans of Morgantown.     

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Morgantown on Friday, August 19th  at 1 pm with Bro. Gene Garner officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. 

Visitation will be Thursday, August 18  from 4-8pm and Friday 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
