Elizabeth Mary Gent, 92, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Feb. 3, 2021 at Morgantown Care and Rehab. She was born in Tonawanda, NY. on April 16, 1928 to the late David D. and Mary Elizabeth Hepner Reid. Elizabeth earned a Masters in Reading and a Bachelor's Degree in Science. She was a high school science teacher and a remedial reading teacher. Elizabeth was also in the U.S. Navy and worked at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Pensacola, FL. She loved to quilt and crochet. She volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul in Bowling Green and helped make rosaries at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Morgantown. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James R. Gent; brother Donald D. Reid.

Elizabeth is survived by her Daughters Elizabeth M. Gent Morrison; Ann E. Gent Gubricky, Mary A. Gent Craft, Laura K. Gent Walton, Catherine J. Gent Albert; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 15 great, great- grandchildren; brother Philip H. Reid; sister Mary E. Reid Klinger.

There will be no services at this time. Arrangement are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
