Edwin Givens

Edwin(Slim) Givens, 90 passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Greenview Hospital.  The Butler County native was the son of the late Charlie and Polly Hope Givens,

retired from the State Hwy. Department, Ashland oil Company where he was a gas truck driver. He was manager of Hillview Trailer Park in Bowling Green for around 50 years until his death.  He was a WWII Army Veteran having served as an ambulance driver during the war and he was in the CC Camp at Mammoth Cave, Kentucky.

Funeral : Tuesday, September 20, at 2:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Union Cemetery.

Visitation: Sunday, September 18, from 6-9pm, Monday, September 19, from 8:00am until 9:00 pm, and Tuesday, September 20, from 8:00am until funeral time at Smith Funeral Home.

Sister in-law- Margie Dean Givens of Lewisburg

Sister- Virginia Haas and husband Bob of Huntingburg, IN

Brother- Charles Marvin (Buck) Givens and wife Barbara of Lewisburg

Nephews- Terry Neal Grubb, Michael Grubb and wife Debbie, Scottie Grubb and companion Shelia Wilkerson, Tony Givens and wife Melanie all of Lewisburg and Roger Wayne Brown of Evansville, IN

Nieces- Linda Abbott and husband Troy, Donna Grubb all of Morgantown, Tina Hudnall and companion Chris burden of Lewisburg, Brenda Thompson and husband Elvis of Auburn

Several great nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dolly Andrews Givens, brother James Neal Givens, sister Erline Givens Grubb, father in-law and mother in-law, Richard and Novie Gill Andrews.
