Doyle Odell Cardwell, age 82 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Doyle was born of Monday, September 16, 1940 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Arthur and Media Colburn Cardwell and husband of the late Marilyn Phelps Cardwell. Doyle was a member of Green Valley Church of Christ and Morgantown Church of Christ, serving as song leader for 60 plus years. He was a retired coal miner from Grand Eagle Mining and Doyle enjoyed doing wood working, gardening, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by one sister Wanda Hack ad one brother Vic Cardwell.  

Doyle Odell Cardwell is survived by two daughters Pam Weathers and Kim Drake (Denny); one son Brad Cardwell (Sandy); five grandchildren Chis Wallace, Ashley Weathers (Chadd), Jordan Wallace (Brittany), Tori Cardwell Trabue (Garrett) and Hunter Cardwell; five great grandchildren Avery Wallace, Sage Wallace, Addison Everley, Tinley Trabue and Hazel Wester; one sister Katie Barks (James); special friends Lowell and Delphine Bryant and Wanda Moore and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 10:00am with Bro. Mike Tanaro and Bro. Roger Worley officiating. Burial will be in the Butler Phelps Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Friday 8:00am until funeral time at 10:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
