Doyce Phelps Cornett

Doyce Phelps Cornett, 84, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. Doyce was born in Butler County on April 13, 1934 to the late Roscoe and Velma Phelps. She was the owner of Doyce's Dixie Cottage in Louisville, Ky., a truck driver, managed Bo's smoke shop, a cook at Lakeview Health Care. She also attended Morgantown Methodist Church, loved to restore dolls, go fishing and take care of her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and seven brothers.

Doyce is survived by her two sons Gary S. Cornett (Michelle) of Louisville, Ky., Geoffrey Lynn Cornett (Tonya) of Louisville, Ky.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers Pete Phelps (Deborah) of Morgantown, John E. Phelps of Myrtle Beach SC; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no service at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.
