Dorothy Phelps, 85, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Dorothy was born on Friday, November 22, 1929 in Warren County Kentucky to the late Ebb and Edna Cherry Joiner. She was a member of Green Valley Church of Christ and a retired cook from Fourth District and Morgantown Elementary and a homemaker. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers Joe Joyner and Ernest Joiner.
Dorothy Phelps is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Olen "Red" Phelps of Morgantown, Ky.; one daughter, Christine Phelps and husband Kermit of Louisville, Ky.; three sons -  Larry Phelps and wife Carolyn of Morgantown, Ky.; Eddie Phelps and wife Delinda of Louisville, Ky. and Tony Phelps and wife Gayle of Morgantown, Ky.; one brother - Roy Joyner wife Pauline of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters - Jean Childers and Betty Tucker both of Morgantown, Ky.; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Mike Tanaro officiating. Burial will be in the Threlkel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm and Thursday 8:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
