Dorothy G. Brown, age 74, of  Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born on August 28, 1951, in Butler County, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by kindness, devotion, and quiet strength. Dorothy was a loving, kind, and selfless woman who touched the lives of many through her gentle spirit and caring heart. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and especially enjoyed watching television, reading, crocheting, and babysitting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Phelps and Yonnie E. Brown Hawks; one brother, Thomas Brown and his wife Betty; one nephew, Stacey Brown; and two brothers-in-law, Thurman Coy and Chuck Bunger.

Dorothy is survived by her sisters, Diana Coy of Roundhill, Kentucky, Freida Bunger of Olaton, Kentucky, and Betty Essex of Florida. She is also survived by four nephews, Chris Coy (Donna) of Brownsville, Kentucky, Chad Coy (Angie) of Roundhill, Kentucky, Shannon Coy (Janice) of Brooklyn, Kentucky, and Clint Coy (Christine) of Roundhill, Kentucky and two nieces, Angel Bunger of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Susan Baran of Olaton, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, July 20, 2026 at 1:00pm with Bro. David Hocker officiating. A private burial will be in the Hill Haven Memory Garden where her family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Monday July 20, 2026 from 10:00am til funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
