Dorothy E. Morris, 91 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday, August 29, 2016, at her residence. Dorothy was born July 20, 1925, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Henry and Cora Daugherty Evans. She was a member of New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, a Kentucky Colonel and retired after 30 years from the Green River Boys Camp as a cook. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by one daughter Carrie Flener; three brothers Morville, Standford and Murt Evans and one sister Mary Alice Evans.
Dorothy E. Morris is survived by one daughter, Emma Pharris; two sons, Keith Flener and Jewell Pharris; five grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the New Liberty Baptist Church Thursday, September 1, 2016, at 2:00 pm with Bro. Jimmy Pharris and Bro. Dale White officiating.
Burial will be in the New Liberty Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Thursday from 10:00 am until funeral time at the New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
