Donnie Drake, 61 of Morgantown, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 24, 2017, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. He was born on Thursday, December 8, 1955, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Thurman "Dee" Drake and Celia Lynn Warren Drake who survives. Donnie was a Butler County High School graduate Class of 1973, a member and former deacon of Cool Springs General Baptist Church, owned and operated Drake's Contracting for 30 years, a member of Gideon's International Butler/Edmonson Camp, Cassia  Masonic Lodge #272 and an avid University of Kentucky fan. Other than his father he is preceded in death father-in-law William T. Vincent and mother-in-law Ann Vincent White and grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Donnie Drake is survived by his wife Edna Gail Vincent Drake of Morgantown, Ky.; one daughter Jennifer Gail Drake Robbins (Dennis) of Morgantown, Ky.; one grandson and his best buddy Jace Levi Robbins of Morgantown, Ky.; mother Celia Drake of Morgantown, Ky.; one sister Marquette Grubb (Danny) of Morgantown, Ky.; one brother Robert Drake (Phyllis) of Morgantown, Ky.; four nieces Bridget Abell (Thomas) of Pikeville, Ky. and Amanda Moore (Jordan) of Morgantown, Ky.,Melanie Covington (Michael) of Greenville, Ky. and Stacey Stewart of Indiana and two nephews Chad Grubb (Elizabeth) of Morgantown, Ky., and Tim Wright (Linzi) of Greenville, Ky.; three uncles Jay Russell Drake (Janice) of Cromwell, Ky., Robert Drake (Pat) of Cromwell, Ky. and John Richard Warren of Morgantown, Ky.; one aunt Jolene Johnson (Les) of Beaver Dam, Ky.; three sister in laws Mary Wright (Charles) of Greenville, Ky., Barbara Vincent of Greenville, Ky. and Ruby Stewart (Ken) of Manitou, Ky.; stepfather in law Dayton White of Greenville, Ky. and several cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at 1:00 pm with Bro. Chris Vaught and Bro. Joe Tolbert officiating.
Burial will be in the Cool Springs Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017, from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 8:00 am until funeral time at 1:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel. Please share any photos, memories, condolences or light a candle in memory of Donnie at www.jonesfuneralchapel.com
