Donald "Uncle Don" Martin

Donald "Uncle Don" Martin, 77, of South Hill, Ky. passed away on July 12, 2018 at the Hospice House of Southern Ky. He was born in Butler County, Ky. on September 22, 1940 to the late Nathaniel and Laura Webster Martin. He was a member of the West End Church of Christ in Bowling Green. Don is a retired machinist from Link Belt Crane, he also worked and retired from the Butler County Jail. He enjoyed painting pictures and tending to his cattle. He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter Tori Martin, brothers George, Estil, William, Tootie, Andrew and Henry Martin; sisters Berdie Peay, Margaret Fugate and Sue Cardwell.

Donald is survived by wife of 58 years Doris Martin of South Hill, Ky; children Valerie Martin of Beattyville, Ky., Tracy Traylor (Kyle) of Gurley, Al., Donnie Martin of Dunbar, Ky., Gina Burden (Joe) of Cross Plains, Tn.; grandchildren Brandon Drake (Jessica), Jessica Burton (Adam), Josh Drake, Larissa Martin, Chelsea Traylor, Casey Traylor, Madison (Bryan) Creech, Emily Martin, Kenzie Burden and Chase Burden; great- grandchildren Riley Beth Burton, Malakai Foley and two on the way; sister Christine Tyree (Willis) and Helen McKinney both of Morgantown; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Bro. Carlos Raymer officiating. Burial will follow in the Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 1:00pm- 8:00pm and Monday 8:00 am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.
