Donald Ray Fields,72 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday December 31, 2013 at his residence. Donald was born July 28,1941 in Butler County, Ky. to the late Charlie and Susie Johnson Fields. He attended Cavehill Church and Leonard Oak General Baptist Church and was a retired coal miner. He was preceded in death by one brother Carl Fields.
Donald Ray Fields is survived by his wife of 49 years Janice Cox Fields of Morgantown, Ky.; daughter Bonnie Sue Fields of Morgantown, Ky.; 2 sons Bobby Fields wife Michelle of Louisville, Ky. and Michael Fields of Bowling Green, Ky.; 4 granddaughters Amber Fields fiancée Erin Trask , Rachel Lucas , Kaley Lucas  and Rebecca Lucas all of Louisville, Ky.; grandson Darian Fields of Louisville, Ky.; great grandchild Jayden Trask of Louisville, Ky.; 4 sisters Betty Baxter husband James of Morgantown, Ky., Elizabeth Wingfield husband Kenneth of Greenville, Ky., Mildred Cardwell husband Chester of Morgantown, Ky. and Judy Ansberry husband Mike of Morgantown, Ky. and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday January 4,2014 at 2:00pm with Bro. Wavie Pierce and Bro. Rodney Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Fields Family Cemetery. Visitation Friday January 3, 2014 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday January 4, 2013 from 8:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
