Don Lindsey, 77 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018, at his residence. He was born November 10, 1940, in Butler County KY. to the late Ed and Hazel Casey Lindsey. Don loved the Lord and serving as a deacon at Barnett's Lick Baptist Church. Earlier in his life, Don enjoyed singing with the Messenger Quartet, The Joyful Four and leading singing at Barnett's Lick. In the past, he served on the board at PBI Bank, and most recently he served on the board at the Butler County Water System. His most notable position in life was owner and operator of Don Lindsey's Market. This was a job he took over from his parents and passed on to his daughters who own and run the store today. He cherished the time he ran the business and made countless friendships. He truly loved everyone for who they were and never expected anything in return. He adored his family and friends and enjoyed watching sports, playing pool, reading, and volunteering at Signature Healthcare. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his only son Jeffrey Lenn Lindsey on July 7, 1971.

Don Lindsey is survived by three daughters Donna Newland and husband Mike, Renee Hampton and husband Greg and Felicia Wood and husband Charlie all of Morgantown, KY; eight grandchildren Josh Hampton and wife Jennifer, Landon Hampton and wife Andrea, Megan Donaldson and husband Cody, Grant, Dana and Camryn Newland, Olivia and Noah Gary, three great grandchildren Ivy and Piper Donaldson and Laney Hampton; one sister Deronda Brooks and husband Leon of Morgantown, KY; one brother Doug Lindsey and wife Sharon of Morgantown, KY; one nephew Tim Brooks and wife Cindy of Morgantown, KY. and his companion and friend Iris Moore of Morgantown, KY.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, January 19, 2018, at 11:00 am with Bro. Walter Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the Hill Haven Memory Garden with Ricky Dockery, Clifford Snodgrass, Darrell Jones, Stanley Lindsey, Steve Casey and Tim Brooks serving as pallbearers and Frank Cardwell, Tom Burden, Woody Allen, and Blue Childress serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018, from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm and THursday, January 18, 2018 from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm and Friday, January 19, 2018 from 8:00am until funeral time at 11:00 am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
