Dolores Ann Poteet, 78, of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013, at her residence. Ms. Poteet was born January 24, 1937, in Edmonson County, to the late Raymond Houchen and Snow Alexander Houchen. She was a retired secretary from the Lakeview Nursing Home in Morgantown. She was a member of Pleasant Union United Baptist Church for 65 years. Ms. Poteet was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arley Poteet, and one sister Hazel Ray.

Ms. Poteet is survived by 1 daughter, Wanda Kaye Gaskey and husband Billy of Morgantown;
1 sister Dorothy Houchen Yokley and husband Wendell of Bowling Green; 1 brother Edward Houchen and wife Betty of Brownsville; Many nephews and 1 special nephew Weston Yokley of Bowling Green.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro Richard Minton officiating. . Burial will follow in the Alexander Cemetery in Edmonson Co. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
