Dixie C. Gaffney, 67, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday May 25, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Dixie was born July 5, 1952 in Louisville, KY to the union of Elbert and Artie Basham Johnson and wife of the late Edward Gaffney. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a homemaker. Other than her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one brother - Larry Johnson and one sister - Linda Johnson.

 Dixie C. Gaffney is survived by one daughter - Penny Childress of Roundhill, KY; one son - Patrick Childress of Leitchfield, KY; granddaughter Penny Childress of Louisville, KY; step-children Theresa Jones, David Gaffney and Timothy Gaffney of Louisville, KY; one brother - Gary Johnson of Roundhill, KY; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday May 28, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Derek Cain officiating.  Burial will be held in the Cub Creek Cemetery in Edmonson County, KY. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 28, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time at 12:00 noon at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
