Dessie L. Turner, age 88, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Spring View Nursing and Rehab Center in Leitchfield, Ky. She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on March 13, 1934 to the late Balis Guffy Lacefield and Martha Leora Bryant Lacefield. Dessie worked at Kane’s and Kellwood and was a housewife. She loved to raise a garden and grow flowers. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ora Eugene Turner; two infant siblings; three brothers Roy, Rollie and Cleveland Lacefield; sisters Bessie Hogan and Annie McGrew.

Dessie is survived by her children Barbara J. Phelps, Sandra J. Elmore, Marilyn Burns (Timmy), Judy L. Bratcher, Bobby Turner (Janice), Jimmy Turner, David T. Turner (Rena), James O. Turner, Mark A. Turner, Timmy Turner, Leasa Rayner and Teresa Bratcher; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 2pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Lacefield officiating. Burial will be held in the Christian Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9 from 10am-2pm at Smith Funeral Home.
