Debra M. Saunders, age 53 of Morgantown, kentucky, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Saunders was born April 2, 1960 in Chelmsford, Ma., to the late Vernon Merrill and Louise Murphy Merrill. Debra was a registered nurse and a member of Belmont General Baptist Church. Debra enjoyed arts and crafts, quilting, painting, reading and working in her flower garden. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Saunders is survived by her husband Robert Saunders of Morgantown, Ky., one daughter; Kaitlyn Sublett and husband Lucas of Morgantown, Ky., one son; Alex Saunders of Morgantown, Ky., one grandson; Gabriel Sublett of Morgantown, Ky, one sister; Lorranine Masson and husband Bobby of Leominster, Ma., three brothers; Scott Merrill and wife Kathy of Worcester, Ma., Buddy Merrill and wife Donna of Westford, Ma., David Merrill of New Hampshire, adopted sister Tinker Saunders of Morgantown.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Gary Embry officiating. Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, September 16, 2013 from 2:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
