David Wayne Embry, 69, of  Morgantown, Ky. passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.  David was born February 13, 1945  in Butler Co., Ky. He  was born to the late Recil and Ruby Burden Embry.  He was a retired construction worker and a member of Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  He loved to rabbit hunt. He was  preceded  in death by his parents and infant son, Michael Wayne Embry. 
 
Mr. Embry is survived by his wife of 50 yrs. Janice Embry of Morgantown; one daughter Deeana Embry and husband Todd of Morgantown; one son Joshua David Embry and wife Janie of Morgantown; three grandchildren Kevin Phelps, Alexandria Embry and Dylan Embry all of Morgantown; three sisters Josephine Barks of Morgantown, Dee Renfrow and husband J.B. of Woodbury and Jean Felty and husband Ross of Morgantown; one brother Adril Embry and wife Genevieve of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Bro. Stony Hildabrand and Bro. Roger Heltsley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Morgan Smith Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Wednesday 8 a.m.-  until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.
