Darrell C. Cook

Darrell C. Cook, 82, of Cromwell, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born on January 9, 1944, in Cromwell, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Catherine Pryor Cook; his first wife, Eudena White Cook; his children, Darrell “Pete” Cook and Denise Johnson; his brothers, Denzil and Delmar Cook; and his two stepchildren, David McKinney and Kerry Allen McKinney.

Darrell was a retired owner and operator of Cook’s Logging, where he built a reputation for dedication, reliability, and a strong work ethic. He was a member of Barnetts Lick Missionary Baptist Church and the Muhlenberg County Conservation Club. His faith was an important part of his life, and he loved the Lord deeply. Darrell enjoyed fishing, watching baseball, working on automobiles, and spending time with his family. These simple pleasures brought him great happiness, and he especially cherished the moments spent with those he loved.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Betty White Cook of Morgantown, Kentucky, whom he married on June 27, 2013. He is also survived by his son, Steve Cook and his wife Melissa of Cromwell, Kentucky; his daughter-in-law, Tina Cook of Cromwell, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Amber McIntosh and her husband Travis of Morgantown, Kentucky, Luke Willis and his wife Reva of Livermore, Kentucky, and Sam Cook of Horse Branch, Kentucky; seven great-grandchildren; his stepson, Jerry Scott McKinney and his wife Aida of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 1:00pm with Bro. Gene Garner and Bro. Mike Daugherty officiating. Burial will be in the New Liberty Cemetery where Mike Cardwell, Ricky Cook, Terry Goodman, Zack West, Johnny Parks and Steve Cook will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 9:30am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon International P.O.
