Clayton Andrew "Clay" Daugherty
Clayton Andrew "Clay" Daugherty, age 33 of Morgantown, KY, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Born on Friday, June 21, 1991, in Bowling Green, KY, Clay's infectious laughter and brilliant mind brightened the lives of all who knew him.
Clay, leaves behind his wife, Sarah Daugherty, and their three precious daughters, Delilah, Charli, and Addilyn, all of Morgantown, KY. Clay was the son of Keith Ray Daugherty of Morgantown, KY, and Mona Denise White Hennion of Morgantown, KY. His twin brother, Jack Daugherty (Rachel) of Glasgow, KY, and sister, Rebecca Felty (Seth) of Morgantown, KY.
Clay was blessed with the unwavering support of his maternal grandparents, Gerald and Sue White, and his paternal grandmother, Shirley Daugherty, all of Morgantown, KY. His mother-in-law, Carla Morgan, also of Morgantown, KY, and sister-in-law, Amber Davi (Mike) of Temple, Texas. Clay's life was further enriched by the joy and laughter of his four nieces, Susannah, Rylee, Liliana, and Mia, and his six nephews, Maverick, Henry, Judah, Asher, Johnny, and Nico, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kenneth Daugherty, with whom he now rests in peace.
An alumnus of Butler County High School, Clay graduated in 2010, having been member of the school's football team. He was a member of Barnetts Lick Missionary Baptist Church. Clay's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. He found joy in playing video games, his creativity shone through in his 3D printing projects, where he brought ideas to life with precision. Music and playing his guitar was another one of Clay's enjoyments. A fan of all things Anime, he enjoyed exploring its vibrant stories and art. Above all, Clay's favorite moments were those spent with his girls, cherishing every second of their laughter and love.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 12:00pm with Bro. Chad Bewley officiating. Serving as pallbearers, Jack Daugherty, Seth Felty, Dillon Cox, Nolan Johnson, Alex Hudnall, John Washer and Gage Smith. Private burial in the New Liberty Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm and Saturday 10:00am until funeral time at 12:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
