Charolette Ann Reece Jones
Charolette passed from her temporary home on Earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 28,2024 at home with her family beside her at age 64.
Charolette was the loyal and devoted wife to Rick Jones for 43 years, and an unwavering loving mother to her two daughters Elizabeth (Matt) Johnson of Alvaton, KY and Rebecca (Shadi) Osman of Merritt Island, FL. She was the proud Nana to five grandchildren who were her absolute world, Mattalyn and Addisyn Johnson and Zephyr, Knox and Kash Osman. She also was Mama to her sweet dog Max.
Charolette was born on September 10th, 1959, in Connersville Indiana to her parents, the late Thedford and the late Fannie Lawson Reece. She was one of eight children born to her parents. Her siblings were Kenneth Reece (Marsha), the late Fred Reece (surviving wife Rhea), Junith Reece, Thedford (Blue) Reece, Kathy Gregory, Beverly Chaffin (Lynn), and the late infant sibling Barbara Reece.
She was also loved by her brother-in-law and sister in laws, Denver (Susie) Jones, Kathy Waid, Debbie Jones, and Christie Phelps.
Charolette will be remembered for her love of all things created in this world. God blessed her with a green thumb that was unmatched. She was also known to be one of the very best welders in the state. She selflessly gave up that career to stay home to be a wife and mother who always made sure all her family's needs were met. Charolette found enjoyment in this life by growing a huge garden yearly of vegetables and flowers that not only fed her family but also families that meant so much to her. She became quite the hiker by hiking just a few miles short of 900 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Her and Rick faced and overcame so many mountains together literally and figuratively. They were never far from one another's side. The past year she became quite the hunter as well. To no one's surprise, Charolette came home with the largest buck between her and Rick. He proudly bragged on her once again and will continue to do.
Charolette loved the world that God created, but more than that she loved her Savior Jesus Christ. She was a faithful and obedient woman of God. She loved attending worship services at Hillvue Heights Church in Bowling Green and was active on the REACH Team, participating in Curbside Ministries. She would proudly invite anyone she knew to come. Because of her faith, it was no surprise how she fought her battle against cancer with such grace, humility, strength, and courage. She will be missed by her family immensely and all who ever knew her. Her life will never be forgotten, and we look forward to the reunion with her one day in heaven.
Funeral Services will be held in the Hillvue Heights Church Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time at the Church. Rev. Dr. Steve Ayers will be officiating. Cremation was chosen. J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Chapels has been entrusted with arrangements.
