Charlie Ray "Blue" Childres, age 69 of Morgantown, KY passed away Friday, the 17th day of November, 2023 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Blue was born Sunday, the 22nd day of August, 1954 in Butler Co., KY to the union of the late Billy Bob Childres and Windlean Burden Childres Barks. He was a member of Leonard Oak General Baptist Church and was a Ferry Operator at Reeds Ferry for many years. Blue enjoyed playing pool, fishing, coon hunting and his chickens. Other than his parents, Blue is preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Cardwell Childres.

Blue is survived by one daughter, Wendy Bowlin (David) of Hartford, KY, two sons; Steven Childres (Tiffany) and Tommy Childres (Kalinda) both of Morantown, KY., six grandchildren, one sister, Sandra Pagoria (Frank) of Morgantown, KY, one brother, Timmy Childres (Nancy) of Horse Branch, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, the 22nd day of November, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Leonard Oak General Baptist Church with Bro. Roy Alford officiating. Private Burial will be in the Noah Johnson Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, the 22nd day of November, 2023 at Leonard Oak General Baptist Church from 10:30 AM until Funeral time at 1:00 PM.
