Charles Winford Wilson

Charles Winford Wilson, age 74, of Owensboro, KY, passed away Saturday, (November 17, 2012) at the Owensboro Medical Health System in Owensboro, Kentucky.

He was born on May 10, 1938 in Anneta, KY, the son of the late Claud and Delphia McGrew Wilson.

He was a retired mechanic for the city of Owensboro, who enjoyed knife trading, flea markets and fishing. He was an US Army veteran, a member and past master of the Stanley Masonic Lodge # 878, worthy patron of the Easter Star # 104, the Madisonville Shriner Rizpah, a Kentucky Colonel, the ARVETS and a member of the New Harmony United Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Daugherty Wilson, three daughters, Charlotte Gibson of Caneyville, KY, Lisa Wilson of Bowling Green KY and Teresa Wilson of Russellville, KY, two sons, Junior and Ricky Wilson of Leitchfield, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Nicholas Charles Wilson.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, (November 20, 2012) at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros Curtis McGee and Jo Jo Watson will be officiating. Burial will be in the McGrew Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
