Charles Parrish

Charles Parrish, 89 of Roundhill, KY passed away Monday December 23, 2019 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Charles was born May 24, 1930 in the Jetson community in Butler County to the union of James Eldon and Estella Pearl Renfrow Parrish and husband of the late Patricia Ann Dalton Parrish. He was a member of Roundhill Church of Christ, Korean War Marine Veteran and member of the VFW Morgantown Post. Charles retired from the Smoky Mountain Park Services, owner and operator Parrish Grocery and a farmer. Charles loved spending time with his family, friends and his dog bear and he enjoyed farming, flowers, feeding birds and nature. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by three brothers James Herbert Parrish, Walter Ray Parrish and David Lee Parrish. 

Charles Parrish is survived by one daughter Angela Faith Parrish Coy (Chad) of Roundhill, KY; one grandson Zachary Coy of Roundhill, KY; one granddaughter Kaitlyn Coy of Roundhill, KY; great grandson Waylon Gillon of Roundhill, KY; four sisters Nita Wood of Roundhill, KY, Reva Davis (Sam) of Roundhill, KY, Betty Lou Huff (Norman) of Roundhill, KY and Shirley Romans (Teddy) of Roundhill, KY and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday December 30, 2019 at 1:00pm with Bro. Michael Harden officiating. Burial will be in the Renfrow Cemetery where military rights will be presented by AM Vets and Zack Coy, Charlie Wood, Floyd Parrish, Scott Davis, Ben Bratcher, Tim Dorris, John Parrish and Delbert Johnson will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Sunday December 29, 2019 from 2:00pm - 8:00pm and Monday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
