Charles Lynn McCoy, age 68, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Medical Center. He was born in Jacksonville, TX. on May 3, 1956. Charles was a member of Union Baptist Church and a retired welder at H & H Sheet Metal. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing, eating sea food and drag racing. He was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn Oden McCoy; aunts Eunice McCoy and Ollie Ruth Lewis; uncle J.P. “Poko” Lewis.

Charles is survived by his wife of 29 ½ years, Connie Forbes McCoy of Morgantown; son Charles R. McCoy (Tobie) of Houston, TX; father Waylon McCoy of Morgantown; step-children Ashley Hawkins of Morgantown and Matthew Hawkins of Bowling Green; granddaughter Hayden McCoy; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Woody Moore and Bro. Jimmy McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and Wednesday, June 19 from 8:00am until 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Union Cemetery Perpetual Fund, Attn.: Dean McCoy, 4483 Sandy Creek Rd., Morgantown, KY 42261.
