Charles Edgar Hatcher, 76 of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at his residence. Charles was born June 22, 1944 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Jewell and Catherine House Hatcher. He was a United States Army Veteran, member of the Granville Allen VFW Post #5837 and American Legion Post # 151. Charles enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, he was a avid UK basketball fan, enjoyed watching car racing and visiting and talking with friends at the local restaurants. Charles worked several years driving a rollback for Chad's Body Shop & Wrecker Service where he enjoyed meeting and talking with new people and loved his coworkers. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one daughter Marecia Jo Hatcher; three brothers Donald, David and Jerry Hatcher; half sister Cassie Oaks and half brother Keith Hactcher.

Charles Edgar Hatcher is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Earline McKinney Hatcher of Morgantown, KY; one daughter Dana Proctor of Morgantown, KY; three grandchildren Austin, Autumn and Jacob Proctor all of Morgantown, KY; one brother Darrell Hatcher of Morgantown, KY; one sister Connie Embry (Cotton) of Morgantown, KY; half sisters Gilda Lee of Morgantown, KY and Janice VanZant (Russell) of Elizabethtown, KY; half brother Craig Hatcher (Denise) of Morgantown, KY; best friend Sonny Johnson of Morgantown, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, June 29, 2020 at 12:00pm with Bro. David Youngblood officiating. Burial will be held in the Cook Cemetery with Steve, David, Kevin and Bradley Hatcher, J.W. Edmonds, Scotty Proctor, Chad Johnson and Braxton Coomes serving as pallbearers. Military honors will be presented by the AM Vets post #117. Visitation will be held on Sunday June 28, 2020 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Monday 8:00am until funeral time at 12:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
