Charles "Banger" Welch, 58, of West View, Ky. passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Shepherdsville, Ky. on May 23, 1959 to the late Edna Welch Perkins. He was a member of Rushing Winds Ministry and Bikers for Christ. He loved his family, motorcyles, White Castles and the Lord. Charles is preceded in death by his mother Edna Perkins and daughter Jenny Mae Welch.

Charles is survived by four children Judge Daniel Welch (Sonya Lane) of Austin, Ky., Katie Welch of Morgantown, Vince Carmack (Pam) of Morgantown and Staci Phelps of Louisville; grandchildren Corbyn and Stephen Shelton of Austin, Ky., Leslie Ann Welch of Austin, Ky., Michael Cortez of Morgantown, Kayla Sue Cortez Graham of Morgantown; great grandchildren Bryson Layne Graham and Hadley Ember Graham both of Morgantown; best friend and mother of his children Nancy Welch of Morgantown.

Services will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
