Carolyn Sue "Mama Carolyn" Flener, 77, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at her residence.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on Feb. 18, 1938 to the late Alva and Ava Burden Johnson.  Mrs. Flener was a member of Richland Baptist Church, an avid UK fan, who loved children and retired from childcare after 30 years.  She loved her family and especially her grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Golda McCloskey and Kathryn Smith; 1 brother, JR Johnson and infant sister Margaret D Johnson.

Mrs. Flener is survived by her husband of 46 years, H.C. Flener of Morgantown; 3 children, Lisa Milburn and husband Matt of Bowling Green, Mandy House and husband Reed of Morgantown and Chris Flener and wife Charity of Bowling Green; 8 grandchildren, Jackson Milburn of Bowling Green, Zoie, Wiley and Henry House of Morgantown, Tatem and Talen Flener and Michelle and Ethan Cardwell all of Bowling Green. 

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 1 pm with Bro. Jim McDaniel and Bro. Roger Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in Hill Haven Memory Garden.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-9 pm and Wednesday from 8 am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Richland Baptist Church Building Fund.
