Carlie Belilies

Carlie Beliles of Crawfordsville, formerly of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday morning at the Ben-Hur Home.  He was 88. 

Mr. Beliles was a diesel mechanic, retiring from Royal Crown Cola in Chicago, Illinois.  He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Morgantown, Kentucky.  He was an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats basketball, Chicago Cubs and enjoyed the occasional Little Debbie snack.  He also liked to play checkers and cards, particularly poker.  Most of all, he loved his family and being with them, along with his closest friends. 

Born Feb. 14, 1935 in Rochester, Kentucky, he was the son of Virgil Beliles and Lottie Wester Beliles.  He married Faye Dockins on June 9, 1956. 

Surviving family includes: wife, Faye Beliles of Crawfordsville; daughter, Sheila Robison and son-in-law, Don Robison, of Crawfordsville; three grandchildren, Brian Robison (Karen) of LaPorte, Indiana, Travis Robison (Deanna Kellar) of Chesterton, Indiana, Eric Robison (Diane Kierner) of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren, Theodore Jeremiah Robison, Spheira Moon Robison and Dallas Avery Robison; brother, Charlie Beliles (Janice) of Morgantown, Kentucky; sister, Lois Hoover of Greenville, Kentucky. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Glen Beliles and Billy Joe Beliles, sister, Fay Hoover and multiple nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 12 to 2 PM Monday, June 26th at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 West Wabash, Crawfordsville.  Services will begin at 2 PM, led by Pastor Doug McCord.  After the service, he will be laid to rest at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
