Brenda Jo Bryant

Brenda Jo Bryant, 76, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024. The Morgantown native was born February 7, 1948, to the late Paul Beliles and Mary Elizabeth West Beliles. Brenda graduated from Butler County High School, class of 1966. She was a full-time homemaker taking care of her daughters and grandkids which she spoiled and loved dearly then later worked at Bacon’s department store. Brenda also loved Elvis and animals, especially her dogs which she would take to McDonald’s and Dairy Queen for ice cream. Brenda will be remembered for her infectious laugh and love for food, especially going to the Big Dipper and Cracker Barrell and hanging out at Bryant’s Grocery and Mamaw Taylor’s. 

 In addition to her parents, Brenda also was preceded in death by an infant sister, Valerie Beliles. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Michele Baker (Jason) and Susan Carman (Dewayne) both of Owensboro; five grandchildren, Cody Carman (Jenna), Logan Carman (Hope), Madeline Nanney (Jacob), Garrett Baker, and Elizabeth Baker (Blake Rumage); eight great grandchildren, Henley Carman, Ember Carman, Waylon Johnson, Wes and Walker Carman, Leo Carman, Winston Nanney, and Caroline Nanney; brother, Phillip “Buddy” Beliles; several nieces and nephews. 

 The funeral service will be at 4:00 pm Thursday, July 18 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with same day visitation from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. A private ennichement will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
