Billy Joe "Bill" Embry

Billy Joe "Bill" Embry, age 86 of Morgantown, KY passed away Monday, February 26, 2024 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Bill was born on Monday, August 9, 1937 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Homer and Edna Renfrow Embry and husband of the late Phyllis Jackson Embry. He was a member of Christian Home Church of Christ, Butler County Conservation Club and retired from Majors Transit in Caneyville, KY. Bill enjoyed shooting trap, hunting and spending time with his family. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by one daughter Renee Quinn; one grandson Luke Embry; six sisters Betty Fay Woodcock, Janice L. Embry, Camilla Phelps, Anita Embry, Melba Hanley and Patricia Kidd and three brothers Hoover "Toad" Embry, Ken Embry and Ballard Goodwin. 

Billy Joe "Bill" Embry is survived by two sons Todd Embry (Angie) of Morgantown, KY and Grant Embry (Mieke) of Bowling Green, KY; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; one sister Diane Colburn of Roundhill, KY and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, March 1, 2024 at 1:00pm with Bro. Paul Smithson and Bro. Nick Greenman officiating. Burial will be in the Christian Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Friday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
