Billy Gene Durbin, 68 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday, October 14, 2016, at his residence. Billy was born August 10, 1948, in Ohio County Kentucky to the late Raymond and Violet Aldridge Durbin. He was a United States Army Veteran, a member of Mt Olivet Missionary Baptist Church and he retired from Weyerhaeuser after 30 years. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by two infant sisters and four brothers Jr., Charlie, Everett and Stevie Durbin.
Billy Gene Durbin is survived by his wife of 47 years Carolyn Sue Durbin of Morgantown, Ky.; one daughter Melissa Durbin of Morgantown, Ky.; one granddaughter Lakisha Blanchard fiancée Tyrone Rife of Morgantown, Ky.; one grandson Lil' Billy Gene Durbin II of Bowling Green, Ky.; four great-grandchildren Jadyeen, Danny, Xavier and Brailen; two nephews Cecil Durbin wife Monica of Beaver Dam, Ky. and Kenny Durbin of Beaver Dam, Ky.; two nieces Lisa Watson husband Ty of McHenry, Ky. and Kim Wilson fiancée BJ Embry of McHenry, Ky.; one special cousin Ron and Jeanne Imperati of Connecticut; several great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at 1:00 pm with Bro. Raleigh Blancett and Bro. Jimmy McIntosh officiating. Burial will be in the Lawson Embry Cemetery where military rights will be presented by the AM Vets Post #117. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016, from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Tuesday 8:00 am until funeral time at 1:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
