Beulah Mae Abbott Skipper

Beulah Mae Abbott Skipper, 94, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Morgantown Care & Rehab. She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on April 21, 1923 to the late John Abbott and Erdean Staples Abbott.  She was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, owned a beauty salon in Louisville for many years.  She loved to go to auctions and yard sales, traveling and family reunions.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James Skipper and Robert Middleton;  brothers Ardell “Red”, John T., Chester and Vernon Abbott;  sisters Josephine Kolodziej, Thelma “Cindy” Duke, Nancy Keown, Reveal Keown and Evadean Abbott.

 

Beulah is survived by sister  Ona Mitchell of Morgantown;  brother Arlis “Benjamin” Abbott (Joy) of Danville, Ill.;  several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 12 pm with Bro. Jimmy McIntosh & Rev. Derek Cain officiating.  Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018  from 5-8pm and on Saturday from 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
