Betty Louise Phelps Burden

Betty Louise Phelps Burden, age 84, of Cromwell, Ky. passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the Twin Rivers Nursing Home in Owensboro. She was born on Feb. 7, 1939 to late Erdist and Margaret Lucille Martin Phelps. She was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church and retired from sitting with the elderly. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ira Neil Burden; sisters Bertha Willingham and Wilma Abernathy and brother James Phelps.

Betty is survived by her son Christopher Burden and wife Terry of Livermore, Ky.; grandchildren Shana Bolton of Sacramento, Nathan Stallings of Owensboro, Ky. and Katie Davis of Ga.; great grandchildren Cash Johnston, Kora Stallings, Rubie Stallings, Jonah Stallings, Octavia Bolton all of Livermore; sister Anna Belle Groover of Indiana; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 3pm. Burial will follow in the Wade Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12pm until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
