Betty Jeanne Drake, 84, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. Betty was born Sept. 10, 1930 in Butler Co., Ky. to the late Albert and Clemance Givens Smith. She was a Homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was a lifelong resident of Butler County and grew up in the community of Silver City. Betty loved to garden and going to singings with Robert and Beulah Middleton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Desper Drake, brothers Douglas, Rex and Johnny Smith and one grandson Seth Drake.

Mrs. Drake is survived by a daughter Pamela Drake Humes and husband Ronny of Franklin, Tn. and son of Mark Drake and wife Judy of Liberty Township, Oh.; two grandchildren, Laurel Groth and husband Wes of Franklin, Tn. and John Drake of Lexington; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Speaker Tommy Hines. Burial will follow in the Hill Haven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.- until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Morgantown Senior Center.
