Betty Jean Russ, age 75 of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY.  She was born on Monday, October 7, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Everett Patterson and May Couch Embry and wife of the late Edward L. Russ. Betty was a retired nurse, working at Lakeview Nursing Home in Morgantown for 33 years and she attended Trinity Full Gospel Church. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one daughter Vonda Gale Russ and four brothers Walter Embry, Dale Patterson, Andy and Burchel Arnett. 

Betty Jean Russ is survived by one daugther Sherry Williams (Garnett) of Morgantown, KY; two sons Eddie and Everett Russ both of Morgantown, KY; three grandchildren Elisha Williams (Misty Daugherty) of Beaver Dam, KY, Derrick Williams (Sarah) of Beaver Dam, KY and Cody Russ (Brittany) of Morgantown, KY; four great grandchildren Chase Tichenor of Beaver Dam, KY, Ryder Williams of Beaver Dam, KY, Zaeleigh and Bryleigh Russ both of Morgantown, KY; sister in law Daisy Embry of Morgantown, KY; special sister Mardella Rafferty of Indianapolis, Indiana;  special niece Sandra Rife of Morgantown, KY and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, October 10, 2022 at 2:00pm with Bro. Cody Russ and Bro.Wayne Russ officiating. Burial will be held in the Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022 from 10:00 am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
