Betty Faye Russ, age 71 of Morgantown, KY, passed away at her residence in Morgantown, Kentucky, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Born on Tuesday, November 24, 1953, in Franklin, Indiana, Betty was the daughter to the late William T. and Betty M. Zetterstrom Daugherty. She shared her life's journey with her beloved husband, Carlos W. Russ, who preceded her in death, along with her two daughters, Angela Faye Ryan and Cheryl Delene Green, and four siblings, William, Steve, Patty, and John Daugherty.

Betty's legacy continues through her seven devoted children: Tony Russ of Central City, KY; Lisa Armour (Danny) of Central City, KY; Betty Daugherty (James) of Powderly, KY; Wayne Russ, Michael Ryan, Boyd Russ, and Anthony Russ, all of Morgantown, KY. She was the proud grandmother to 27 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Betty is also survived by her three siblings, Cheryl Lasiter (Denny) of Morgantown, KY; Mary Shaw of Bowling Green, KY; and Jenny French of Bowling Green, KY, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Before retiring, Betty dedicated many years of service to Sumitomo Electric, and a member of Morgantown Community Church. Betty's selfless nature was evident in every aspect of her life.

Betty's interests were a reflection of her love for life and the people in it. She found immense joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, creating memories that they will treasure forever. Betty took great pleasure in being outdoors, working in her flowers, nurturing them with the same care and attention she gave to her loved ones. Her fur babies were a source of comfort and companionship and shopping was more than a pastime for Betty; it was an opportunity to bond with her daughter and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00am with Bro. Cody Russ officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery where Wayne, Boyd and Anthony Russ, Michael Ryan, Tony Russ and Andy Kiper will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 8:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
