Barry Tracy Burden
Barry Tracy Burden, 65 of Morgantown, KY went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Barry was born January 12, 1956 in Leitchfield, KY to the late Delmer and Gennita Mae Bratcher Burden. The family spent many years in Louisville, KY before returning home to Butler County, KY. On June 22, 1973 after his Junior year of high school Barry married his high school sweetheart Marrine Johnson Burden. After a short time working the rock quarry, he and his brother Larry started a dairy farm business in Neafus, KY. He continued to run the farm, raised the family, and then went to work at IMCO Recycling in Morgantown, KY. During this time the dairy was switched over to a beef cattle operation. After close to 30 years at IMCO he retired to the farm to spend time with family. Barry loved spending time with his family on and off the farm. His daily retirement routine was taking care of the farm, family and friends. Weekends often involved area outings to farm auctions again with family and friends. During the hunting seasons he enjoyed outdoor time in the woods relaxing and taking a break from the daily workload.
Barry Tracy Burden is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years Marrine Johnson Burden; one son Tracy Burden and wife Amanda; one daughter Kristie Dowell; six grandchildren River and wife Maddie Dowell, RainaMae, Raddison and Remington Dowell, Lyla and Tipton Burden ; one brother Larry Burden and wife Doretta Smith Burden and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at Zion Harmony Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 2:00pm with Bro. Gary Embry and Bro. Calvin Dockery officiating. Burial will be held in the Zion Harmony Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Wednesday 9:00 am until funeral time at the Zion Harmony Baptist Church.
