Barry Lynn Givens, 70 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday July 1, 2020 at his residence. He was born May 24, 1950 in Butler County, Kentucky to the union of Ellis Thornton and Leatrice Joy Mayhugh Givens. Barry was a retired farmer and he volunteered for many years at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Barry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially his grandchildren. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his father in law Thurman Embry, brother in law Royce Embry and two sisters in law, Sharon McCoy and Linda Embry. 

Barry Lynn Givens is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Shirley Embry Givens; one son Jamie Lynn Givens (Paula Elaine); one daughter Amber Leigh Givens Renfrow (Ben); four grandchildren Jameson Findley, Beau David Givens, Hannah Renfrow and Chelsey Renfrow all of Morgantown, KY; three sisters Vernita Johnson (Drex) of Lewisburg, KY, Kathie Cox (Mike) of Rockfield, KY and Betty Grubb (Kerry) of Quality, KY; one brother Mark Givens (Ann) of Davis Crossroads, KY; mother in law of Marie Crump of Morgantown, KY; brother in law Andy McCoy of Morgantown, KY and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday July 4, 2020 at 11:00am with Bro. Woody Moore officiating. Burial will be held in the Union Cemetery where Parrish McCoy, Jeremy Embry, Luke Embry, Jon Givens, Jason Cox and Jeff Cox will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday July 3, 2020 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 8:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
