Barbara Gary Canter, age 72 of Roundhill, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. Born on Thursday, December 18, 1952, in Bowling Green, KY. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Edith Ellis Gary, and her sisters, Sharon Gary and Karon Kay Booth.

Barbara Gary Canter is survived by her husband, Thomas Canter of Roundhill, KY; her daughter, Christy Basham of Bowling Green, KY; and her son, Timmy Basham (Angie) of Roundhill, KY; four grandchildren, Laura McGranhan (Tony) of Bowling Green, KY, Lindsey Steenbergen (Willy) of Glasgow, KY, Dakota Basham (Allie) of Roundhill, KY, and Trevor Spradlin of Cave City, KY; five great-grandchildren, Lilly Steenbergen of Glasgow, KY, Leia McGranhan of Bowling Green, KY, Lexie Steenbergen of Glasgow, KY, Henley Basham of Roundhill, KY, and Luke McGranhan of Bowling Green, KY. She is also survived by her niece, Jamie Booth of Chattanooga, TN.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Barbara's faith was a cornerstone of her life. Her faith-filled life was a testament to her belief in kindness and service to others. Barbara's interests were a reflection of her love for life and family. She found joy in sewing, traveling, especially spending time with her family and the love for her dogs, Willie and Taz, was indicative of her nurturing spirit.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 2:00pm with Father Julio Barrera officiating. Burial will be in the Threlkel Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 10:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
