Bamis J. "Pete" Dockery, age 68 of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY. Pete was born August 9, 1953 to the late Bamis and Golda Beasley Dockery. He loved family gatherings and dirt track racing which he shared with his sons. He is preceded in death by his siblings Nellie Mae Dockery, Jimmy Dockery, Janie Phelps, Kay Filback and Estil Dockery. Also his in laws Louis Burden, Eddie Filback and Leo Bratcher. 

Bamis "Pete" Dockery is survived by his loving wife of 40 years LaDonna Dockery; three sons Jon (Tara), Mark and PJ Dockery; six grandchildren Makayla (Trenton) Dorris, Jacob, Kooper, Kya and Kippton and one great granddaughter Amelia Dorris. He is also survived by his sisters Alliene (Ellis) Lamar and Mary Bratcher; his in laws Gary Phelps, Magie Dockery and Faye Dockery; extended family Scotty and Jane Simmons, Taylor and Adi Johnson and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Funeral services will be held at the Zion Harmony General Baptist Church on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 1:00pm with Bro. Calvin Dockery and Bro. Steve Embry officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Harmony Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm, Wednesday 8:00am - 8:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Thursday, 11:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Zion Harmony General Baptist Church.   Please share any photos, memories, condolences or light a candle in memory of Pete at www.jonesfuneralchapel.com.
