Azel Josephine "Jo" Nash

Azel Josephine "Jo" Nash, age 85 passed away Friday the 3rd day of March 2023 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. Jo was born to the union of the late Clarence and Alma Bratcher Dockery on Monday the 17th of January 1938 in the Neafus Community of Butler County, KY. Jo was the wife of the late Shelby S. Nash. She is preceded in death by three siblings Welza, Mag and Jean. Jo attended Zion Assembly Church of God in Browder, KY and previously attended The Church of God of Prophecy in New Salisbury, Indiana where she served as church clerk and treasurer for several years.

 

Azel Josephine "Jo" Nash is survived by four daughters Teresa Thomas husband Daniel of Byrdstown, TN, Pamela Jones of Morgantown, KY, Thelma Webb husband Rusty of Fishers, Indiana and Kimberly Erwin husband Todd of Morgantown, KY; six grandchildren Danny Thomas wife Gina of Scott Depot, West Virginia, Michael Thomas wife Nicole of Bradyville, TN, Kyle Webb wife Samantha of Denver, Colorado, Cortney Mundy husband Levi of McCordsville, Indiana, Shelby Gross husband Jacob of Adolphus, KY and Emma Erwin of Morgantown, KY; 13 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; sister Evelyn Able of Mt Washington, KY and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held at the Caneyville Church of God of Prophecy Monday, March 6, 2023 at 12:00pm with Sister Lyresa Ashley officiating. Burial will be in the Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery in Caneyville, KY where her family will be serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 10:00am until funeral time at 12:00pm at the Caneyville Church of God of Prophecy 2857 Bowling Green Road Caneyville, KY 42721.
