Aubrey C. Oney, 94 of Hanson, Kentucky passed away Friday May 11, 2018 at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, KY. Aubrey was born October 15, 1923 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Berlin and Cleo Smith Oney. He was a United States World War II Navy Veteran, lifetime member of the VFW and Elks Lodge, he was a Kentucky Colonel and a avid golfer. Aubrey enjoyed all the churches in Myrtle Beach visiting and taking part in and he was a retired accountant. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Cash and Charles Oney; two sisters Mary Magdlene Oney and Kathleen and brother in law Bert Riggs; brother and sister in law Shelby Jr. and Elaine Jones; brother in law Robbie Jones; sister and brother in law Rachel and Jim Arvin; two nephews William Maynard and Gerald M. Jones and one niece Lynn Conner.

Aubrey C. Oney is survived by his loving wife of 71 years Clara Jones Oney of Hanson, KY; one sister Wanda Maynard of Ashland, KY; four nephews Robert Maynard of Ashland, KY, Keith Jones and wife Angie of Leitchfield, KY, Kevin Jones and wife Angie of Taylorsville, KY and Steve Jones and wife Pat of Carolina Beach, North Carolina; four nieces Elizabeth Neilis of Ashland, KY, Sharon Jones of Bardstown, KY and Shirley Hampton and husband Freddie of Morgantown, KY and Ginger Sexton and husband Bill of Hanover, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday May 15, 2018 at 1:00pm with Freddie Hampton officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery where military rights will be presented by AM Vets Post #117. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
