Arvone K. Martin, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, at the age of 82, at Forest Spring Health Campus in Louisville, KY. Born on February 1, 1944, in the Welchs Creek community of Butler County KY.

Arvone was the daughter of the late Odie and Sylvia Lacefield Kessinger. Her journey through life was shared with her beloved husband, Charlie L. Martin, who preceded her in death. She was also precededin death by her siblings Ruby Embry, Denzil Kessinger, Gwendon Kessinger, Mendell Kessinger, Wendell Kessinger, and Lindon Kessinger, as well as her nephew Mark Kessinger and great-nephews Bradley Childress and Garrett Davenport.

Her legacy continues through her son, Michael Martin of Louisville, KY, and her grandchildren, Reece and Olivia Martin, who brought immense joy. Arvone's memory will also be treasured by her sisters, Sharon Kent (Samuel) of Scottsville, KY, and Wondena Raymer (Carlos) of Morgantown, KY. Her aunt Pandora Embry of Louisville, KY, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arvone's professional life was marked by intelligence and precision. She retired as a Computer Programmer for Blue Cross Blue Shield, and she was  member of Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church, 

Arvone's interests were a reflection of her creative and thoughtful nature. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and working crossword puzzles. However, it was the time spent with her grandchildren that she cherished most, creating memories that will be held dear for generations to come.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, February 13, 2026 at 1:00pm with Bro. Greg Fields officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Union Cemetery where her family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 11:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
