Artie Mae Burden, 94 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at her residence. Artie was born September 26, 1926 in the Neafus Community of Grayson County, KY to the late Clem and Leona Bratcher Jones and wife of 47 years to the late Odie Burden. She was of the Baptist Faith and a loving mother and grandmother. Artie worked at Brown Williamson in Louisville, KY for 2 years and retired from the Kellwood Company in Morgantown. She was a foster grandparent for Butler County Head Start for 11 plus years. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one grandson Harold Wayne Burden Jr. and four siblings Arthur Lee Jones, Hilary V. Jones, Royce C. Jones and Gay Emmaline Jones. 

Artie Mae Burden is survived by six children Billy Burden (Barbara), Harold Burden (Linda), Nadeen Findley, Dellaphene Lindsey (George), Alice Brooks (Dale) and Dallas Burden (Jill) all of Morgantown, KY; 14 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; one sister Ruby Burden of Louisville, KY and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at the Oak Ridge General Baptist Church Monday, January 4, 2021 at 12:30 pm. Burial will be held in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 9:30am until funeral time at 12:30pm at Oak Ridge General Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Chapel.
