Ardith Ray Willis, 84 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. He was a Butler County native, son of the late Virge and Ora Phelps Willis. Mr. Willis was of the Church of Christ faith, a US Army Veteran, and retired logger in the timber industry. He was preceded in death by one daughter Shelby Jean Willis; brother J.C. Willis; 2 sisters Virgie Mae Elmore and Burdie Jane Raymer; grandson Travis Flener and 2 great grandsons Dakota Lynn Bryant and Jeremy Michael Smith.
Ardith Ray Willis is survived by his wife of 65 years Sara Lawrence Willis of Morgantown, Ky.; 2 daughters Ginger Flener husband Roger of Morgantown, Ky. and Barbara Woosley of Morgantown, Ky; son Ray Willis wife June of Morgantown, Ky; brother Claudis Lee Willis of Indiana; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday Dec. 20, 2011 at 2:00pm with Bro. Roger Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Threlkel Cemetery.
