Archie J. Moore, 86 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Archie was born on Sunday, October 23, 1927 in Morgantown, Ky. to the late Seth Moore and Cora Snodgrass Coots. He was a member of Mt Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, the Butler Co. Fox Hunters Club and retired farmer. He is preceded in death by his parent, two sisters Myrtress Smith and Eula Whitaker and one brother Willard "Bill" Moore.
Archie J. Moore is survived by his wife of 64 years Daphna Leibolt Moore; four children Brenda Felty (Randy), Roger Moore  (Kay), Ralph Moore (Connie) and Rusty Moore (Angie); seven grandchildren Pete Havens (Christy), Eric Moore (Jessica), Erin Moore, Kira Deweese (Brandon), Brittany Moore-Felty, Tiffany and Seth Moore; five great grandchildren Elijah and Lincoln Moore, Evan Deweese, Cody and Lucas Havens. Sister, Violet Allen (Hayward). Brother-in-law, Don Robinson. And several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Mt Vernon Missionary Baptist Church Tuesday,October 21, 2014 at 11:00am with Bro. Mike Allen and Bro. Gene Garner officiating. Burial will be in the Mt Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, October 20, 2014 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Tuesday October 21, 2014 from 10:00am until funeral time 11:00am at the Mt Vernon Missionary Baptist Church.
