Anthylene Childress, 68, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, Kentucky. Anthylene was born April 10, 1947 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Charles and Julia Ann Kirby Carathers and she was the wife of the late Glendon Childress. Anthylene was a custodian at Morgantown Elementary for several years and a homemaker.
Anthylene Childress is survived by two sons:  John Childress (wife Cindy) of Morgantown and Emmett Childress of Morgantown; two sisters: Betty Jenkins of Beaver Dam, Kentucky and Reita Brooks of Morgantown; one brother, Thomas Carathers of Morgantown; two granddaughters -  Calesta Childress of Morgantown and Whitney Childress of Hartford; one grandson - Dereck Childress of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. David Beliles officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at 1:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
